ChemDiv offers both research in both human xenografts and syngenic tumors in mice. Xenografts can be grown in nude mice or SCID and primary tumor growth or metastasis can be evaluated. Syngenic tumors can be grown in most mice species. We offer traditional subcutaneous models as well as orthotopic and other models and can customize models to meet your needs. We keep most of the models in our own liquid nitrogen storage. Other model can be procured on a short notice.
Studies may include any or all of the following: culture and inoculation of tumor cell lines, monitoring and measurement of tumor growth, administration of therapeutic or preventative dosing protocols, excision and collection of tumors and necropsy with observation for sites. Typically, ChemDiv offers “Tumor Growth” - initial studies to determine tumor growth rate in nude mice and “Tumor Production” - production of tumor bearing mice for collection of tumors or performance of therapeutic studies.
ChemDiv uses Imaging/X-ray System, progressive equipment for anatomical localization of molecular imaging agent signals in small animals, organs, and tissues. Advantage is multiple imaging modalities including multi-wavelength fluorescent, luminescent, radioisotopic, and X-ray.
All studies are performed in accordance with a Statement of Work that is developed jointly with the project sponsor to meet the specific study objectives. Custom designed protocols may be developed with a Study Director.
