GCCL, GemPharmatech Expand Drug Development Support. MOU Links Preclinical and Clinical Services Across Markets

GCCL and GemPharmatech signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a unified drug development service system linking preclinical models to clinical bioanalysis across South Korea, the US, and China.
GCCL is partnering with a global preclinical company to establish an integrated service system that encompasses the entire drug development cycle.
GCCL, a global clinical trial specimen analysis institution under the GC Biopharma Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation in global drug development services with the global preclinical CRO company GemPharmatech on July 21.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials including GCCL CEO Cho Kwan-goo, GemPharmatech founder and Chairman Xiang Gao, and GemPharmatech North America CEO Brandy Wilkinson.
The two companies will combine GCCL’s clinical-stage central lab and bioanalysis capabilities with GemPharmatech’s preclinical in vivo efficacy evaluation and genetically modified animal model portfolio. Through this, global customers will be able to utilize services through a unified route from the preclinical proof-of-concept (PoC) stage to the execution of actual clinical trials.
The core of this collaboration lies in the operation of a global marketing network connecting South Korea, the United States, and China. The companies plan to raise brand awareness through joint online and offline marketing while simultaneously discovering new business opportunities targeting pharmaceutical and bio companies operating in each country.
GemPharmatech Chairman Xiang Gao stated, “We will help customers smoothly continue development from early research to clinical trials by connecting GemPharmatech’s preclinical capabilities and GCCL’s clinical expertise.” Brandy Wilkinson, CEO of the North America branch, also expressed high expectations, emphasizing the local demand for an integrated development pathway.
GCCL CEO Cho Kwan-goo emphasized, “This MOU is an important opportunity to provide more integrated development support services to our customers,” and added, “We will support our customers to move efficiently and continuously from the initial research to the clinical stage by linking the expertise of both companies.”
